Flower Pictures - A Mild Obsession #2
By Patrick Heathcock

Flat Roofer
We had a problem with felt a while back. The problem area was the bay window that we have in our lounge. It has a small flat roof and the felt on the roof had become worn in a certain area. The seasons had gradually worn away at the felt and when we rang a Flat Roofer and he called around to our home he said the sun had caused the felt to crack. This in turn allowed water to seep into the felt and this caused a large crack in the ceiling of our lounge. On the advice of the Flat Roofer we had new pvc membrane fitted and our new roofing is now watertight. During the recent bought of snow that the UK has experienced it stood up to the bad weather and we didn`t experience any leakage whatsoever. The new roofing has come with a comprehensive guarantee so we don`t have to worry about it leaking in the future. It was fitted in next to no time by the Flat Roofer who was obviously highly experienced at his work. Felt needn`t be a problem in the future because a new type of pvc membrane can be fitted instead that will keep water out no matter how hard it rains.

Border Fine Arts
I`ve just been looking at a wonderful collection of Border Fine Arts collectables. In the midst of the collection are a number of sculptures that depict the countryside and in particular, the farmers who carry out their chores in this type of outside setting. I can only describe the collection of Border Fine Arts as charming with numerous exquisite pieces within the range. One of the models that has captivated my attention is the ?Nosy Neighbours` scene. This limited edition collectable is new for this year and it depicts a farmer who is trying to replace the ballcock in an outside water tank to prevent it from overflowing. This farmer isn`t on his own as he has quite an active audience watching his every move. Sheeps and cows are taking an interest in his activities and his faithful border collie also watches on. The ?Nosy Neighbours` limited addition collectable is typical of the styles and designs of the Border Fine Arts . Anyone who likes collecting figurines and scenes of a varying nature will adore the farming sets that are available in the Border Fine Arts range. I know I for one have been captivated by the sheer charm of these exquisite items.

Silver Charm Bracelets
When you are buying jewellery ? whether it is for your self or a loved one ? you are making an emotional investment as well as buying a gift. You want the piece you buy to reflect the personality of the wearer,

Umbrellas
I`m making the most of today. The sun is shining outside and once I have completed my daily duties I think I`ll head off to the local park. I`ve learnt over the years that you have to make the most of the sun when you can. Living in the UK you rarely have prolonged periods of sunshine so it`s best to grab it when you get the opportunity. You are much more likely to be caught in a downpour than you are to get sunburned. This is why I have a collection of Umbrellas in the cloakroom of my home. It pays to keep Umbrellas handy as you never know when you are going to need to them. As well as a batch of brollies in my home I also keep a large golfing brolly in the boot of my car. There have been many occasions when I have headed out of the house in the morning to glorious sunshine and retuned home in the afternoon in a torrent of rain. People can provide themselves with plenty of protection from the rain by using Umbrellas and there are certainly many styles, colours and designs that can be chosen to suit all tastes.
