Nicholas Kirkwood Asymmetrical Boots

Nicholas Kirkwood shoes are known for their signature architectural heel and platforms, and have put the label among the best in designer shoes. These boots are a new design with an angular cut heel and toe that makes for a very interesting look.

They are black leather booties with sculptured cut-out wedge heel. They have decorative stitching and detailed angular toe. There is an inner zipper closure and side stretch insert for snug fitting. They have a 5 inch high gloss wooden wedge heel and a hidden 1 inch platform. $887 Available here

Giuseppe Zanotti Mesh Strap Ankle Boots

I have been telling you for awhile that ankle boots are huge this season, but especially open toe boots or designs with lots of cut out details. Obviously these Giuseppe Zanotti shoes have an open toe, but they also have interesting deep cut outs by the ankles. Being such a unique design, these shoes would look best with bare legs.

These designer shoes are black satin with leather inserts at back heel quarter and lining. They also have a leather sole and insole. The bright silver mesh ribbon drapes on the front of the boot and is accented by crystal embellished harness that sits right below the deep ankle cut outs. They have a zipper at the back of the heel. Elizabeth and James Sky Sandal

are my ‘go to’ label when I want a current and stylish design, but don’t have the budget for Louboutin’s or Choo’s. Their shoes are well made and comfortable and always have a reasonable heel height, usually 4.5 inches or less. The collections are usually on the conservative side with shoes that would be acceptable in a business or social setting.

Giuseppe Zanotti Crystal Studded Sandals

These Giuseppe Zanotti shoes
are very interesting in the fact that the bling is limited to the rear view. With the front being completely open the focus is on the exposed foot, but from the side and rear view the red crystal details catch the eye, so it’s an understated flashy shoe. I like it.

Alexander McQueen Crystal Detailed Pumps

These Alexander McQueen shoes
are another example of the huge fall trend that is crystal embellishments. They are everywhere on accessories from shoes and boots to handbags, and all of the big name designers are doing it, and I’m not complaining…I love bling.

Nicholas Kirkwood Lizard and Mesh Sandals

Although there are many fabulous shoe designers today, and no one compares with my main man Louboutin, but I can always count on Nicholas Kirkwood to put out a ‘Wow’ shoe. His designs are always distinct and very eye catching, sometimes even over the top. This design, however, is perfect. It’s very distinct, but also very beautiful, and the polished wood heel and platform add a sophisticated element.

These Nicholas Kirkwood shoes

Velvet Angels Marquee Ankle Boots

I have been showing you a lot of ankle boots this month because they are the ‘must have’ accessory for Fall. When I saw these fabulous boots I thought they were McQueens’, they have that look, no? But they are Velvet Angels, a more affordable label that makes really cool shoes.

These designer shoes are embossed leather with eyelet lace up and stud details. They have a rear zip up at the heel with a Velvet Angels embossed zipper pull. They have a lightly padded leather insole and sole. The cone shaped, mirrored heel measures 4 inches and a 1 inch hidden platform. Alexander McQueen Faithful Boots

, the faithful ankle boot is my absolute favorite. It’s being done in every color and many different materials, and I love them all. This version is extra special to me as it’s done in my favorite shoe color: the always flattering nude. This shoe came out for sale a few weeks ago, but it’s already marked down at a few stores.

These designer shoes are flesh colored leather with gold toned hardware and skull shaped zipper pull. The distinctive features are leather fold down lapels with snap button closures on the vamp and repeated circular pattern stylishly stitched at the back quarter. They have a leather sole and insole. Cute Fall Shoes for Less

While this is a site where we discuss designer shoes primarily, every once in a while the climate (cough* cough* recession) dictates a more prudent selection. But that doesn’t mean sacrificing style. I saw these boots and thought they were adorable and in step with the current military trend. They actually look a lot like current designs from Giuseppe Zanotti, Prada, Dolce & Gabanna, and Jimmy Choo for this season. They are by a brand called Apepazza and retail for about two hundred bucks.

These boots are flesh toned leather with adjustable front lacing and gold hardware. They have a decorative cuff at the ankle, a side zipper and an open toe. They have a lightly padded footbed and leather lining. They stacked heel is 3.75 inches and have a 1 inch platform. $203 Available here
